Verde's Vanguard

South End Supporter Section

Sections 101–105 on the south end are designated for Austin FC's most passionate supporter group — Verde's Vanguard. Safe-standing rails make full 90-minute standing comfortable. The noise and energy from this section on big Austin FC nights is one of the best atmospheres in MLS. If you want the immersive supporter experience, this is the section.

West Side for Shade

For afternoon and evening games in the Texas summer, the west sideline is the shadier option — the east sideline sections 233–236 are most susceptible to afternoon sun as it sets. The Austin Telco Terrace (upper 309–317) is fully covered regardless of side. West sideline 100-level has the additional benefit of an air-conditioned indoor lounge.

Three main tiers — 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level (Telco Terrace). West sideline 100-level has the air-conditioned lounge. Telco Terrace is fully covered and has its own concourse. Supporter section at south end 101–105.

Open-Air — Plan for Austin Summer

Q2 Stadium is open-air in North Austin. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F — the primary planning factor for any match from May through September. The Austin Telco Terrace (300 level) is fully covered. The west sideline 100-level has an air-conditioned indoor lounge as a heat escape. East sideline sections 233–236 get afternoon sun. For summer afternoon kickoffs, covered or west-side seating is strongly recommended. Evening games are significantly more comfortable.

Verde's Vanguard — South End

The south end supporter section (101–105) is among the most energetic in MLS for a stadium that only opened in 2021. Safe-standing rails make the full-game standing experience more comfortable. The green smoke, coordinated chants, and flag choreography on big Austin FC nights make the south end one of the most visually impressive supporter sections in the league. Arrive 60 minutes early to see the pre-game build-up.

Q2 Stadium's food and beverage program features partnerships with local Austin eateries and breweries — one of the stronger local food programs in MLS. The Austin Telco Terrace has its own dedicated concourse with shorter lines than the main concourse. Explore beyond the obvious concession stands. VIP parking passes are included with all suite and loge premium packages, providing the most seamless arrival experience. General parking is available in surrounding surface lots and nearby garages.

Rideshare

~20 Min from Downtown Austin

Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout Austin. From Downtown Austin the stadium is approximately 20–25 minutes north on I-35 or MoPac. From The Domain hotel corridor it's 5–10 minutes. Pre-book your return before entering the stadium — post-match rideshare demand in North Austin can spike on sold-out nights. The Domain area has good rideshare availability as an alternative staging point.

AUS ~25 Min

Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS) is approximately 25 minutes from Q2 Stadium by rideshare. AUS has strong domestic route coverage and growing international connections. For fly-in groups, rideshare from AUS to the Domain/North Austin area is most practical — stay near the stadium to minimise logistics on match day.

Which seats are best in the Texas summer heat?

What is Verde's Vanguard?

Verde's Vanguard is Austin FC's primary supporter group, occupying sections 101–105 at the south end of Q2 Stadium. Safe-standing rails are installed for the full 90-minute standing experience. The section features coordinated chants, green smoke, flags, and some of the best supporter choreography in MLS for a club that only launched in 2021. If you want the most immersive, energetic fan experience, these are the sections. If you prefer seated viewing, the sideline sections are recommended.

What's the difference between the loge products?

Q2 has six loge-style products, all for groups of 4. East Club loges (Premium Lofts, Lexus Club) give access to the East Club with all-inclusive food and beverage. West Club loges (Captain Morgan) give access to the West Club — shadier positioning for afternoon games. The Porch Loge and Porch Table Loge are on the Porch Level with roomier seating and shorter food lines. The Chevron Community Corner Loge is a corner-positioned private balcony. All include VIP parking and in-seat drink service. The main differentiator is east vs west positioning and club access.

Can you combine a Q2 match with F1 at COTA?

Yes — Circuit of the Americas is approximately 30 minutes south of Q2 Stadium. We regularly build Austin packages combining Austin FC matches with F1 weekends, especially around the United States Grand Prix in late October. The timing works well with the MLS regular season schedule. We also combine Q2 visits with ACL Fest in October, SXSW in March (pre-season and early season), and Spurs games in San Antonio 80 miles to the south.
