Globe Life Field — What to Expect

Globe Life Field opened in 2020 and is one of the newest ballparks in Major League Baseball. Replacing the old Globe Life Park next door, it was built specifically to solve Texas's most persistent sports problem: summer heat. The retractable roof and full climate control make it one of the most comfortable large-venue experiences in the DFW Metroplex regardless of the season.

The Rangers are a World Series-caliber franchise and the ballpark sits inside the Arlington Entertainment District alongside AT&T Stadium, making this one of the most concentrated sports and entertainment corridors in the country. Playoff baseball here — highlighted by the Rangers' 2023 World Series run — has produced some of the best atmospheres in recent MLB memory.

Inside the Park
  • Retractable roof with full climate control — games proceed in all weather, year-round comfort.
  • Excellent sightlines throughout; one of the better-designed modern MLB ballparks.
  • Strong food, beverage, and hospitality options across all levels.
  • The Home Run Porch in right field is a premium fan-favorite seating area.
  • Clear bag policy enforced — check current guidelines before arriving.
Day-of Tips
  • Arrive 60–90 minutes early for popular matchups or playoff games.
  • The Arlington Entertainment District has pre-game dining and bars within walking distance of the park.
  • Globe Life Field is car-dependent — a transport plan is essential, especially post-game.
  • AT&T Stadium is right next door — great for multi-event DFW trips.
