  • DD GrassMaster hybrid surface — natural grass reinforced with synthetic fibres for year-round durability
  • Patriot Place development adjacent to the stadium — restaurants, retail, hotels, and the Patriots Hall of Fame museum
  • Privately funded by Kraft Sports + Entertainment — no public financing, one of a handful of NFL stadiums with this distinction

Seating Map

Three tiers — lower (100s), mezzanine (200s), and upper (300s) — with sideline, corner, and endzone options at each level. Every seat was designed to face the exact centre of the playing field.

Gillette Stadium seating view
Tier Breakdown
01
100 Level Sidelines — Sections 104–114 / 126–136
Best seats in the stadium. Sections 108–111 are directly behind the Patriots bench — as close to midfield as it gets on the home sideline. 35–38 rows, 23 seats per row. The go-to tier for most groups.
02
100 Level Corner — Sections 101–103, 115–118, 123–125, 137–139
Diagonal views covering both the field and the near endzone — ideal for scoring plays. Closest tier to the field after sidelines. Sections 116 has only 19 rows (20–38). Strong value for lower-level proximity.
03
100 Level Endzone — Sections 119–122 / 140–143
Just behind the goalposts on the closest tier to the field. Unmatched proximity to scoring plays in the nearby endzone — 36–38 rows with Row 1 at field level. Best atmosphere in the building for goal-line action.
04
200 Level Corner — Sections 201–205, 214–218, 223–227, 236–240
Excellent mid-level viewing height with comfortable diagonal field views and good endzone videoboard visibility. The strong value tier — good sightlines at a meaningful step down in price from the 100 level.
05
300 Level Sidelines — Sections 301–318 / 323–340
Upper deck along the sidelines. Sections 309–310 (east/home) and 331–332 (west/visiting) are closest to the 50-yard line. Far from the action but with the broadest full-field overview in the stadium.

Matchday

Inside the Stadium

What to know before you arrive — including several factors specific to World Cup 2026 that differ significantly from a standard Patriots game day.

Weather
Open-Air — New England Summer
Gillette is an open-air stadium. New England in June and July is generally warm but weather can change quickly — afternoon thunderstorms and evening cool are both possible. Suites offer the only climate-controlled indoor viewing option. For general seating, light layers and a compact rain layer are worth carrying regardless of the forecast.
Parking — World Cup
75% Reduction — Transit is Critical
Standard game-day parking of ~20,000 spaces drops to just 5,000 during World Cup due to expanded FIFA security perimeters. Do not assume normal Patriots parking conditions. MBTA Commuter Rail from South Station is the most reliable option — book train tickets on the mTicket app before match day. Train tickets require a match ticket for the same day.
Entry
Clear Bag · Mobile Tickets
Clear bag policy enforced at Gillette for all events. Mobile ticketing standard for World Cup 2026. Expanded security perimeters and international crowd volumes mean entry queues will be significantly longer than a Patriots Sunday — add at minimum 30 extra minutes to your standard arrival buffer.
Getting Here

Transit, Parking
& Entry

For World Cup 2026, the MBTA Commuter Rail is by far the most reliable way in and out. Parking is being cut 75% — plan accordingly well before match day.

MBTA Commuter Rail
South Station → Foxboro Station
14 commuter rail trains on World Cup match days, running every 15 minutes. The MBTA plans to move 20,000 passengers per match. Round-trip train tickets must be purchased in advance on the mTicket app — a match ticket for the same day is required to buy. Foxborough Station is being expanded ahead of the tournament, expected completed by May 2026.
Parking — World Cup
5,000 Spaces Only — Pre-Purchase
General public parking drops from ~20,000 to 5,000 spaces during World Cup due to FIFA security perimeters. Pre-purchase any available pass well in advance — they will be exhausted. Standard tailgating lots on Route 1 southbound will have general parking included in ticket price for some events. Suite and premium packages include VIP parking.
Rideshare
Uber / Lyft — Plan for Surge
Rideshare is possible from Boston but journey times and surge pricing post-match will be significant. Providence (T.F. Green Airport, 18 miles) is an alternative arrival point for out-of-town groups — shorter rideshare distance to Foxborough than from Boston proper. Coordinate pickup location carefully before entering the stadium.

FAQ

Common Questions

First-time visitor answers, plainly stated.

Significantly different logistically. Parking drops 75% — from ~20,000 spaces to 5,000. Security perimeters expand dramatically. The MBTA runs 14 trains instead of the usual 1–5. International crowds replace the regular season New England fanbase. Match times overlap with Boston rush hour. Plan every element of your visit differently from a standard NFL Sunday — and reach out to us to handle the logistics.

MBTA Commuter Rail from South Station — 14 trains on match days running every 15 minutes. Train tickets must be pre-purchased on the mTicket app and require a match ticket for the same day. Buy as soon as you have your match tickets. Do not rely on driving — parking is 75% reduced and traffic management on approach roads will be significantly more complex than a normal game day.

FIFA's standard policy removes commercial naming rights for the duration of every World Cup. Gillette — named after the Procter & Gamble shaving brand — becomes "Boston Stadium" for all World Cup purposes. The same policy applies across the tournament: AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, and others all drop their commercial names. The venue itself is unchanged.

If you're here for multiple matches or spending time beyond the stadium, Boston is the stronger base — better dining, more to do, and the MBTA connection makes game-day transport straightforward. If you want maximum simplicity for the match itself, the on-site options at Patriot Place (Renaissance and Hilton Garden Inn) are unbeatable for logistics. For the quarterinal on July 9, Foxborough on-site is worth the premium for a single high-demand night.

100 Level Sidelines are the best all-round position — sections 108–111 are directly behind the home bench and as close to midfield as it gets. 100 Level Corners are a strong value step-down with good proximity and diagonal views of both the field and the near endzone. The 200 Level Corners are the best mid-tier option. For the quarterfinal specifically, any lower-bowl position will deliver a remarkable experience regardless of section.
