Stadium Guide

The Experience

The loudest outdoor stadium in NFL history — the Guinness World Record crowd roar of 142.2 decibels was set here in 2014. Add a tailgating tradition that starts hours before kickoff and you have one of the most complete game-day experiences in American sports.

Inside

The Stadium

  • Capacity of 76,416 — 4th-largest NFL stadium and largest sports facility in Missouri
  • $375 million renovation completed in 2010 — modern concourses, high-def video boards, upgraded seating throughout
  • Unique upper deck shape creates enormous sideline sections with a wide range of row options
  • Upper deck rows 1–6 over the club level are among the best non-club sightlines in any NFL stadium
  • Player tunnel between sections 113 and 114 — fans in these sections can get close to players as they take the field
  • Clear bag policy enforced — verify event-specific guidelines before arriving

Where to Sit

Seating Map

Arrowhead's unique upper deck shape creates genuine sightline variety across price points — knowing the rows matters more here than at most NFL venues.

Upper Level Sidelines — 300s

Rows 1–6: Best Value in the Stadium

Sections 301–302, 323–325, and 346 contain more than 40 rows each. Rows 1–6 sit just above the club level and deliver views nearly identical to the high-priced club seats — often at a fraction of the cost. The best non-premium sightlines in the building. Rows 7–20 are a strong second option if mobility is a factor.

Upper Level Endzone & Corner — 300s

Short Walks, Good Value

Endzone sections (330–341, 307–318) have 15–20 rows with the tunnel near row 4 — the easiest concourse access in the upper deck. Corner sections (326–329, 342–345, 303–306, 319–322) offer four sections per corner with a mix of larger sideline-adjacent and smaller goal-line sections. Sit low to minimise stair walks and wind exposure.

Lower Level — 100s & 200s

Best Corner Value: Sections 113 & 125

Corner sections in the 100 level (103–105, 115–117, 121–123, 133–135) contain 38 rows with 50% lower prices than sideline equivalents. Sections 113 and 125 (Chiefs sideline) and 107 and 130 (visitor side) offer the best angle toward midfield. Higher rows (30+) improve sightlines; front rows put you close to the field and the player tunnel between 113 and 114.

Lower Level Endzone — 100s

Front Rows: Closest to the Field in the NFL

Endzone sections (106–107, 113–114, 124–126, 130–132) have roughly 30 rows. Front-row endzone seats at Arrowhead are as close to the field as any endzone seat in any NFL stadium — nearly at field level. For scoring plays toward your end zone, the experience is unmatched.

Row position matters more at Arrowhead than most stadiums. Tell us your budget and preference and we'll find the right tier.

Premium Access

Suites & Premium Areas

Game Day

Inside the Stadium

What to know before kickoff — and before you even leave the parking lot.

Tailgating
A Kansas City Institution
Arrowhead's tailgating scene is one of the most celebrated in the NFL. Fans arrive 3–4 hours before kickoff — the parking lots are part of the game-day experience, not just a means to an end. Plan for it and lean in.
Entry
Clear Bag · Mobile Tickets
Clear bag policy enforced at all Chiefs games. Mobile-only ticketing standard — load everything before you leave the hotel. Gate queues build quickly given the stadium size, so budget extra time.
Weather
Dress for the Conditions
Arrowhead is fully open-air. NFL weather in Kansas City ranges from warm September afternoons to frigid January playoff games. Wind in corner and upper sections is a real factor. Layer up regardless of the forecast and bring rain gear for early-season games.

Official game-day shuttle buses run from select Downtown Kansas City locations. A practical alternative to driving — avoids post-game parking gridlock and lets the group enjoy the full day without logistics stress.
Timing
90 Min Before Kickoff

FAQ

Common Questions

First-time visitor answers, plainly stated.

Kansas City International (MCI) is the only major option at roughly 25 minutes to the stadium under normal conditions. It's a straightforward drive or rideshare — no meaningful alternative exists. The new terminal opened in 2023 with significantly improved facilities.

Yes — genuinely. Arrowhead's tailgating culture is one of the things that makes a Chiefs game different from any other NFL venue. Arriving 3 hours early and spending time in the parking lots is part of the experience, not dead time. If you're making a trip specifically for a Chiefs game, don't skip it.

For most groups, lower-level corner sections (particularly 113 and 125 on the Chiefs side) give you the best combination of proximity, atmosphere, and value. If budget allows, the CommunityAmerica Club Level delivers the full premium experience without needing a private suite. Upper deck rows 1–6 on the sidelines are a strong budget option — the views nearly match the club level at a fraction of the price.

January playoff games in Kansas City are genuinely cold — temperatures regularly drop below freezing and wind chill can push the felt temperature significantly lower. Base layers, an insulated mid-layer, a wind-proof outer layer, hand warmers, and warm boots are not optional for upper-deck or open-air seats. If cold is a concern, the enclosed premium options (Penthouse, CommunityAmerica Club) are worth the investment.

Yes — they're literally next to each other in the Truman Sports Complex. A Chiefs game and a Royals game in the same trip is one of the most seamless two-sport combinations in American sports. One hotel, two venues, and you never leave the same postcode. Tell us your dates and we'll build the package.
