Hockey – Summer Games 2024

Speed, technical skills and fun! These are the characteristics of hockey, a thrilling and incredibly energetic sport which also requires endurance and coordination. Played on a watered synthetic turf for an even faster pace, a hockey match lasts 60 minutes. It consists of 4 periods of 15 minutes.
On the pitch, each team has eleven players, including forwards, midfielders, defenders, and a goalkeeper. Each player can be replaced at any time and as often as desired. A team can choose to play without a goalkeeper (temporarily, in principle). The team scoring the most goals wins and in knockout matches, a shootout session may be required to separate the two teams.
