Austin City Limits is one of the largest music festivals in the nation. Taking place at Zilker Park each year in Austin, Texas, a yearly 450,000 attendees come to see hundreds of concerts each October in clear view of downtown, Austin.
Starting this year, the bag policy has changed at ACL for safety purposes. Multi-pockets are no longer permitted, but single-pocket drawstring backpacks are along with small purses, fanny packs, handbags, and empty hydration packs. More information is available on the ACL website here: https://www.aclfestival.com/safety/.
ACL traditionally has seven stages with full lineups Friday, Saturday, and Sunday two weekends in a row as well as smaller acts in tents. Rows of food trucks and drink tents line with Austin fare line the sides of the park, and you’ll see a huge variety of music acts. Historically, ACL has hosted Paul McCartney, Metallica, Bjork, Depeche Mode, Kendrick Lamar, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Run The Jewels, Gorillaz, and countless others. Austin City Limits brings in a variety of genres and, as a result, all sorts of fans.
Although you should make sure you don’t miss the top acts from your favorite artists, ACL also brings in a host of local or up-and-coming talents each year like Gina Chavez, The Bishops, Bombino, and La Femme.
